About the Program
The mission of Avikrishna Medical Aid program is to make healthcare accessible to all sections of society, irrespective of whether they belong to BPL or the working class. Taking into account the situation of today and the rising poverty on one hand and on the other, the expensive medical and healthcare, having easy access to healthcare has become an ordeal in itself.
In such a situation, getting an open heart surgery or as simple as a cataract eye surgery becomes close to impossible for these families. Thus, ACT sponsors and funds individuals for their necessary medical aid, thereby helping her/him regain good health.
On the basis of medical reports, estimated expense for medical treatment and financial capacity of the individual, the Board of Trustees identifies the support required. All costs for medical treatment are paid directly to the hospital or to the supplier of medical equipments and implants. The post treatment reports of doctors and hospitals of repute are obtained to ensure that sufficient medical advise has been provided to the individual and treatment was successful.
